What is a Pentecostal Church?

We are a vibrant free church – a community of people who have personally experienced Jesus Christ. We are united by the belief that Jesus is alive. We believe in His resurrection, the forgiveness of our sins, and His second coming. Together with Christians worldwide, we confess our faith in God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

What makes us special: As the name "Pentecostal" suggests, we place great importance on the Pentecostal experience – the baptism in the Holy Spirit. It is our conviction that faith in Jesus is the first step: He died for us on the cross and rose again. Building on this, God gives us the power of His Spirit to lead a fulfilled life.

A Personal Story: How it all began

I was only 10 years old when I made a life-changing decision. Although I had always somehow believed in God, I was living only for myself. One day, I realised: What if I were to die tomorrow? Where would I be? I felt that I lacked the assurance of heaven.

In that moment, I knelt down in my bedroom and prayed:

"Dear Lord Jesus, please forgive my sins and be my Lord from this day forward."

That was the beginning of a completely new life. I experienced what Jesus describes in John 3:3: I was "born again". My fear gave way to a deep certainty: I belong to God.

A New Life – For You Too!

You, too, can receive this certainty and this new life – right now. It simply takes the decision to trust Jesus. Seek a conversation with God, read the Bible, and join a vibrant church where the Word of God is at the heart of everything.

Once you have found faith, you may also ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit, just as the first Christians experienced on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4). In Luke 11:13, Jesus promises us that the Father in heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.

May I introduce myself? My name is Nigel Sheldrick. I am a missionary from Scotland, married to Frida from Mexico, and together we have four children.
