The vision of Christen im Beruf (CiB), the German branch of the international association FGBMFI Full Gospel Business Men‘s Fellowship International, is to encourage people from all professions to live their daily lives in a relationship with God and to experience His love. At the regular events held by our local chapters, you can discover how to find new strength, deep peace, and fresh courage through faith in Jesus Christ. Our team members are Christians from various churches and denominations. The Bible and faith in Jesus Christ are our unifying foundation. As an interdenominational association, we are represented by more than 4,000 local groups (chapters) in approximately 160 countries.

Ian Reilly, born in Northern Ireland, grew up in a violent home. He and his siblings were taken by the police to children's homes and later moved again after abuse became known there. At the age of 18, Ian heard a street preacher talking about a loving Father in heaven. Ian said to him, “I want that—where do I sign up?”

Bjarne ten Harkel, 46 years old, from the Netherlands.

Disappointed in God and Christians, Bjarne turned his back on his Christian upbringing and lived without faith. At night, often around 1 a.m., he regularly had serious arguments with his partner. The unbearable strain of this situation made him despair of life—until one night, when the situation got completely out of control, he died and met God.

Sometimes they happen right before our eyes, and sometimes we only recognize them years later. If you need some yourself or want to experience them, come along this morning and I'll explain what it takes to experience them. My first emotional experience with Jesus happened when I was six years old. My professional career as a master pastry chef ended with thirteen years of self-employment at the Creperie du Ciel in Münster. What fills my life today is an exciting story that I would like to tell you.
